Help! What is the best way to take photos for the idea gallery??!

Ok so i am new to this site and i am trying to upload pictures for my idea gallery. The only problem is, is that i can not seem to get a good enough picture! I do not know if it my camera or what..What is the best way to take pictures for the idea gallery?!!
