Last time my poor parcel got hit by customs, i wonder – can you mark shipments as ‘gift’ so it bypasses me having to pay handling fees and VAT – IF customs get their dirty money grabbing paws on it?

And if so – quickly mark my latest order as gift ;p

    Thanks

    :)

The best way to deal with this, is to email our customer service department at contactmakeupgeek@gmail.com. Just explain the situation, and we can look into it further for you. :)

Hi,  bought myself a bunch of MUG eyeshadow pans in the sale which including shipping was just under $40 (£26 apprx) in total. Bargain!

However Royal mail (the british postal service) charged £3.49 ($5 apprx) VAT which is okay AND a whopping £8 ($12) ‘International Handling Fee‘. I actually kept the special label from the package to post about it to help out other UK Mugs like myself – but I’m new & I haven’t figured out how to post pictures yet!

Anyhow, the label was from the  ’UK border agency’  which detailed the charges and said to search for ‘Notice 143′ on their website for info on customs / vat info. For queries concerning the international handling fee it says to phone royal mail international on: 08457 740 740.

    Hope that helps!
