What are they?

Halloween  Make up kits

They Describe it as:

A tantalizing mix of to-die-for products, you’ll have all you need to morph into everything from a Red Devil to a Wood Nymph. Enchanting effects with dramatic shapes and colors. Use the temporary paint or glitter and the variety of stencil shapes to complete your costume. Mix and match the different stencils and colors to customize your own enticingly beautiful look.

Rating:

  • Product: 2 out of 5
  • Packaging: 5 out of 5
  • Quality: 2 out of 5
  • Overall:    3 out of 5
  • Would I buy again?  Nope
  • Price: $5.99

Where to Buy:

  • Amazon
  • eBay
  • Most drugstores

This set contains:

  • 1 Color Compact
  • 2 Sponge tip applicator
  • 3 Stencils
  • 1  Black pencil eyeliner

Overall Opinion:

The cream shadows were greasy and creased even with UD Eyeshadow primer. I applied eyeshadow over the  cream shadows to make the look more vibrant. I used half of the stencil on my eyes and then free handed the rest to make it look less gaudy and more glamorous. The product its self its pretty awful.  Its a great concept but if your only using it for halloween and not for an everday situation then its fine.  Just dont expect it to last all night.

As many issues as you had with the product, you still got a great result. Making me think of trying it out!

You really took a poor quality product and made a world class halloween look from it, AND IT IS HOT!! I’ve seen these pallettes everywhere and even for me, the bargainista, I was not interested in purchasing them. Most of the Wet n Wild products have tremendous quality considering price, and then theres the items that I’d sooner let my kids do crafts with :) .So thanx for making lemonade out of that lemon, Thats what makes the MUG team my FAVES!!

but to be honest I would have never bought the product :(
The packaging isn’t appealing and on first glance it looks cheap

I saw these in my local wal-mart and was tempted to try them, just to see what they were like.. I’m glad I saw this review first!

Btw.. even though the quality of the product is terrible, your look is stunning!

nice job with the look! i think it’s not really the product which gets awful. with some creativity, you will be able to pull off a much better look like what you did (two thumbs up!)

Ahh, creasing even with UDPP? So fail!
Even so, you still managed to make an awesome look with a crappy product.
    Skills!

I bought this kit, and really can’t figure out how to use it from the instructions … it says to paint the stencil, but which side do you paint? And how do you apply it after it dries? I usually figure stuff out pretty easily, but this has me stumped, and I’m sure it’s something stupid I’m overlooking. Help! :)

      Genevieve:
I hope you figured it out, but if not….
you apply the stencil to your face like a sticker and pretty much fill it in with the paint. good luck!
