I owned this product and returned it twice because it broke on me …twice. )-:
I liked using it as the mua’s at Sephora suggested, in an E 3 pattern. It’s when you start at the temples and make an E/3 pattern down the side of the face. It really warms up the face but softly.

This happens to me when my seasonal allergies act up. It is usually solved by taking an antihistamine and/or using allergy eye drops before I do my eye makeup to prevent my eyes from watering. It’s worth a try. Hope I helped.

Marinka, I agree with you that we may choose to do what we wish to do and I’m okay with that. However, it stands to reason that if a company as large as Clinque (owned by Lauder) uses this method, it is a safe (and probably the safest) method. I’m sure it’s saved them from lawsuits.

@Marinka, I consulted with an epidemiologist, and she said that powder eyeshadows are not considered a dry surface. They may dry, but viruses and bacteria can still hide in them. It is better to be than sorry in this situation. Wasting a little product is a small price to pay to prevent the spread of disease. Your clients will also appreciate it.

MikiHeart, I hope I have a simple solution for you. When I worked at Clinique I was trained to use what we called a “ghost” made with a cotton ball and a facial tissue. I would swipe the tissue several times over the eyeshadow and dip my brush in the product that transferred onto the tissue. So there was no cross contamination.

Please avoid using any and all eye makeup, including false lashes on your eyes. Why risk an infection. You have only one set of eyes to see with. It’s not worth losing your vision. <3

Do you curl your lashes? I think that may help open up your eyes. I use either mac or shu eumura lash curler before I apply mascara and it really helps me get the most out off my lashes and helps my eyes appear larger. Hth
