This is probably my favorite highlighter (of course as it’s the most pricey- geez…), but I love this as it’s not overly glittery like some highlighters and it gives such a natural looking glow! It doesn’t feel oily on my skin and is sheer and light.

Albatross is the BOMB! I got it for my birthday last year with the orgasm blush, it is so flattering and not sparkly at all.

Are liquid highlighters more likely to be less shimmery (more shiny) vs. a powder? It seems powders seems to have a more glitter effect sometimes, like the MSF which looks way to chunky especially with my pores

I need to get a new highlighter for when mine runs out. Dang limited edition products and they’re working perfectly the way you want them to just so you can fall in love with them long enough to have your heart broken when they’re unavailable the following season. Phew, that was a mouthful lol

I can usually ‘feel’ the oil on my face during the day… it’s not nice 
I do use foundation on a regular basis and use a powder foundation ontop of that to try and ‘soak’ up the oil but it doesn’t seem to work 
it just seeps throughy, yucckkyyy hahaha.
I was wondering if you had any good tips for oily skin?? I’m still at school. Whenever i go to the bathroom i look in the mirror and my skin looks really shiny and oily, i get quite embarrissed

Hope you don’t mind me butting in but here’s a trick to try…it’s gonna sound weird, but it REALLY works (+ it’s cheap). Wash & tone your face with your preferred products (I currently use Cetaphil facial cleanser & Neutrogena alcohol-free toner). Then, using a makeup sponge, apply a very light layer of Milk of Magnesia (the original formula-don’t use the flavored), and blend it in very well, wait a minute & then blend some more if necessary (to avoid a chalky look). Then apply your face primer & foundation as normal. I used to get shiny by 10am and went through blotting papers like crazy, but since I’ve been using MoM, I can make it til 5pm and don’t even need to blot.

Do I have the PERFECT solution (smile). Mary Kay has several products that I have been using for many, many, many years. My skin is extremely oily, and most people think that I am sweating (how embarrassing…that’s my clue to go get rid of the oil).
Okay, now the one thing I think is so very important is the incredible Beauty Blotters ($5.00/75 sheets). These are cute little linen sheets that will instantly take the shine away w/o messing up the makeup. These sheets are great and you just have to try them to believe for yourself.
Next, there is the awesome Oil Mattifier ($15) which is applied under the makeup and lasts up to 8 hours. I usually get oily way before then, so I just add a little over my makeup once or twice during my day after using the Beauty Blotters.
Lastly, Mary Kay has a great skin care line just for oily skin (starting @ $44). Which means the kind of make up best to use is the kind for oily/combination skin (starting @ $14).
Mary Kay has it all!! Just go to my website and click on Skin Care, the go to Specific Needs for oil control.

I ended up getting Urban Decay’s Cream Highlighter in Moonshine. It’s sooo pretty! It gives your skin an iridescent glow and works on all skin tones. I LOVE it! I love your reviews but agree with others, you should photograph for better swatches since you are already doing the review as it is really hard to truly see the color of the highlighter on the video. Thanks for the info.

I’m a big fan of the highlighter that came in Tarte’s Jewelry Box, and I like Revlon’s Colorstay Illuminator too.
OPI also has a shimmery powder that’s tricky to work with, but it’s really nice.

Try Revlon Age Defying Spa Illumiator ($8-10 at the drugstore). It is a beautiful product, and very comparable to these cheek highlighters Marlena graciously reviewed for us! I will rebuy and reuse my revlon product though, compared to the more expensive ones as I love it!
