Marlena, u look great! I’m having problems with my NYX shadows. I don’t know why, but they tend to break easily. I had purchased like twenty, and now I have like 14. What should I do? They break even when they don’t fall anywhere. If they do fall, they go to peices. I really want to save my shadows.
Hey, I had the same problem with mine. The first thing I did was try to fix them. All you need is some alcohol and them press them. There are lots of tuts that explain how can you press or fix your eyesahdows when they broke. Other thing that you can do; if there is no way to fix them and you think they will brake again anyway, find a empty 5 gram or 3 gram and depot your eyeshadow there. (you can get this in http://www.thebodyneeds2.com). DONT throw it out. That’s a waste of money. I hope it helps. Have a good day.

Hi Marlena. This is a great tutorial. I left you a comment on your YouTube vid regarding using the NYX palette for green eyes. Two of the colors in that palette have a ton of glitter in them and the fall out for the glitter ends up on my cheeks. That may be a great look for a younger woman, but for me (I am 50) it is not working. Any suggestions on how to clean up the glitter or tone it down? The two colors with glitter in them (dark green and rose/brick) are FAB and I would hate to not be able to make them work. TIA!

To clean up the glitter on the cheeks, use a large fluffy brush to sweep away after you do your eyes. I wish there was a way to get that glitter to stick a bit better besides using a stiff brush- don’t use any sort of mixing medium though as it will ruin the shadows…

You could try this same look, but maybe switch out the greens for some browns or purples- not to say that you couldn’t pull it off, but try the browns with the golds as those colors will suit your eye color the best

I haven’t tried a ton of Avon yet as I’m so overwhelmed with all the makeup brands out there, but have heard great things about the Mark line
I am just another fan and yes I love this look on you, thank you for giving your time and knowledge so freely. Now is where everyone is going to jump all over me, out of all the Sephora Catalogs this was my least favorite, I have been (since last year with their first holiday catalog) been recreating the looks, seeing if what they say is used really comes out like it did in the picture. I am by no means as talented as you are, however, I even took the items to the Sephoria beauty people and they could not get the same results. So when you talked about doing looks out of Sephora I was so excited, until I seen it was the brand new one, everyone likes different things I guess, I just felt they have some really great looks in other ones. I go to the Briarwood Mall Sephora or at least I use to, they are so rude there, I’ve made several calls to their district manager, but it’s hopeless. Can I ask two questions, without everyone getting angry? I found you on YouTube and love everything about you, but I guess forget the first question, your creative and pick what you feel like being creative with so why this catalog is a stupid question. I should of put this in first, I went and got the book of shadows II because you said you were going to do some looks out of it, but if this is something your no longer interested in, I would just like to know because without you I might as well (still has not been open) take it back. I’m hopeless without your help, I wish while you were in Ann Arbor I could of took one of your classes. I know your dreams will come true, if anyone deserves it, it’s you. France here you come!

Have you tried the Revlon Colorstay yet? I’ve also heard good things about the Maybelline dream liquid foundation (I think that’s the name- I haven’t tried yet..) My other favorite for good coverage is Estee Lauder Double Wear

I have purchased several individual Sephora brand eye shadows and I DID NOT like them. I feel as if they DO NOT have enough pigmentation. I would suggest NYX pallets they have several to chose from. Visit them at http://www.nyxcosmetics.com.

I tried this look after purchasing this pallette and it didnt turn out the same. I am Puerto
Rican with Med skin color…I have a lot of caramel color tones. What other yellow color would you recommend since the yellow in this pallette was to fair for my skin…it didnt show very well.
I want to perfect this look as I would like to wear it for Christmas.
